Uncle Daddy LIVE in ‘09
Uncle Daddy and The Family Secret will head back out onto the live circuit in 2009 in support of their upcoming release Hard Times. The band, whom is infamous for not performing live, will spend a good portion of 2009 in regional venues and performing on the festival circuit. Among the roster for this year’s lineup are bassist Jay Brunner and drummer Rick Faul, both of whom played with Uncle Daddy in 2005-2006. The two phenoms add to the existing lineup of Hoffman, Laswell and Myers. Though the lineup isn’t really any big surprise what fans will find surprising is the fact that the five-piece group will delve deep into the existing musical catalog and perform cuts that haven’t made their way to the live stage in more than five years. UDFS plans to do an opening set at each concert that will include music from their new release as well as rarely performed tracks from Magical Meat Seeds, HOWuALLAR? and ONDEFOR. Daddy also plans to add covers from indy artists like Tom Waits, Lucinda Williams and more according to founder and frontman R.Hoffman. Uncle Daddy and The Family Secret will begin live dates asĀ early as June so stay tuned for more info.
